FAQs
How do you determine the amount of my mini-grant (eGift card or VISA gift card)?
An initial $50 mini-grant is earned when the kits are sent home with students. The remaining mini-grant amounts are determined by dividing the number of submitted Home Energy Worksheets by the number of kits requested. If the resulting number is at least 80 percent, the full mini-grant amount is earned, an additional $100.
How long will I need to wait for my mini-grant?
- Mini-grants are processed after a teacher reaches 80% of submitted Home Energy Worksheets or after the program deadline.
- You will receive an email when your mailed packet is received or use the link in the emails from your scheduler.
- A link to a teacher portal is included in the emails from your scheduler for easy access. On this site you can see:
- Students who have submitted forms online or whose forms you mailed in.
- The number of forms we are expecting from you based on the reconciliation form you signed at the presentation and your current percentage returned.
- The grant you have earned to date and the status of your grant payment.
What are the rules for spending the grant money?
Grant funds can be used for any purpose the designated teachers choose in ways that will benefit students.
When can we sign up for next year?
How can other teachers I know enroll?
Please feel free to share the program information enrollment website with colleagues!
Do you do these programs for other groups?
At this time, we can only provide PNM Home Works presentations and kits to fifth grade classrooms in schools.
