The Ameren Illinois and Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Programs are proud to sponsor the Energy Savers Kit Offering across the joint utility service territory. This energy educational offering has been designed for 9th through 12th grade classrooms in qualified schools. The goal of the Energy Savers Kit Offering is to help high school students and families learn ways to use energy and water more efficiently at home, at school and in the community.
Teachers will receive energy-related classroom resources for year-long learning and students will take home a backpack full of energy-efficient products designed to save money and energy in their homes. Families will receive additional resources to help complete the learning cycle at home.
The Energy Savers Kit Offering addresses natural resources, workforce development, advanced energy concepts and energy efficiency. All Energy Savers Kit resources are correlated to the Illinois Learning standards, STEM and Next Generation Science Standards.
