Community in Action is a school-based educational opportunity for people in your neighborhood to learn about energy efficiency. This program targets low-income schools. Your school has the opportunity to host a one-hour forum focusing on energy and energy efficiency. Hosting a Community in Action forum can earn your school an educational grant ranging from $200-$1,000 based on attendance.

At the Community in Action meeting, participants will learn about:

  • How to save money on utility bills
  • Energy saving technologies
  • Energy saving behaviors

For more information or questions and to see if your school is qualified based on the percentage of free-and reduced lunch student numbers at your school, please contact National Energy Foundation at 1-855-494-2942 or e-mail [email protected]
