Welcome to the Innovation Energy Education Kit Initiative!
The Innovation Energy Education Kit Initiative is offered through the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program. The Initiative helps high school students and their families learn ways to use energy and water more efficiently and wisely. Advanced energy literacy and workforce development education is taught through in-class presentations and take-home kits. The Initiative is open to 9th-12th grade teachers and students in the Ameren Illinois service territory.
Who are we and what do we do?
Whether students are in the classroom or part of distance learning, everyone can participate!
The Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program sponsors the educational and informative Innovation Energy Education Kit Initiative. Initiative components reinforce energy and economics concepts from the curriculum and teaches lifelong lessons on energy and water efficiency. Students and teachers receive Innovation Kits containing energy-efficiency products students and their families can install in their homes. The program also provides online support, posters, and activity guides for teachers and students to empower program participants to be leaders in energy efficiency.
Teachers and administrators may register by clicking the link above. After school eligibility is determined, an Educational Service Representative will contact teachers to verify the information and set up deliveries of teacher materials and Innovation Kits.
