Grades 2-3

THINK! ENERGY Bright Kids program – a 45 minute interactive, hands-on presentation with a strong literacy component, experiment on renewable energy and, in Pennsylvania, a take home energy efficiency kit for each participating student and teacher. The program teaches the importance of energy, renewable and nonrenewable resources, and gives each participating student’s family energy-efficient technologies to install at home. The program is easy to implement and reinforces learning requirements with relevant content and inquiry-based activities. Teachers receive a selection of supplemental instructional materials and optional lessons (all correlated to state content expectations) that may be used in addition to the presentation. For second and third grade students.

The program teaches the importance of energy, natural resources and environmental resources, and gives each participating student’s family energy-efficient technologies to install at home. The program is easy to implement and reinforces learning requirements with relevant content and inquiry-based activities. Teachers receive a selection of supplemental instructional materials and optional lessons (all correlated to state learning standards) that may be used in addition to the presentation.

High School

Adults

THINK! ENERGY Community in Action is a school-based educational opportunity for people in the neighborhood to THINK! ENERGY at home.

During the hour-long THINK! ENERGY Community in Action presentation, participants will learn about things they can do to save money on utility bills and learn how to make your home energy-efficient. In addition, each household represented at the program will receive an energy efficiency kit, subject to availability.

THINK! ENERGY Community in Action can earn schools an educational grant for hosting the event with additional incentives per program.
